Being music is such a big part of the hotrod and motorcycle culture. SSK Blog is going to introduce you to a new band every week. Or atleast ones we or you the reader feels worthy. Whether we are at a car show or doing a bike run, in some way shape or form there is always music to follow some good, some not so good. Some events just always have the same old crap playing. I don’t know about you but I want to hear something different then the same old blues. With that said let me introduce you to…..
REVEREND PEYTON’s BIG DAMN BAND!
I got the opportunity to see these guys open for Flogging Molly about a year ago, and from that point on I was a fan. The only way I can describe their music is like Hillbilly MOUNTAIN MUSIC HOPPED UP ON CRACK. They are an outstanding live band, with many underlining old school blues (like Muddy Waters Old) riffs and feel to their music. They are a 3 piece band with Reverend on a guitar and old Mandolin, His wife Breezy on Washboard (YES A WASH BOARD) and Breezy’s brother on drums with 5 gallon pails on the side. I know you maybe thinkin’ – “what the hell?” But seriously give them a try, if they are coming to an event/venue near you – go see them. See links to their website and a Youtube video.
