WHAT THE HELL? We’ve come to this????

An Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) poster has been updated to include information about the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act (GINA) which went into effect late last year.GINA prevents employers from discriminating against individuals based on genetic tests and information. The Act requires certain employers to obtain and post notices informing covered individuals of their rights under the law.

If your dealership employs 15 or more workers, you are required to post the GINA notice in your workplace along with the five other required federal government posters. “Failure to display all required state and federal posters can lead to fines of up to $17,000,” says Maria Larson, marketing manager of Progressive Business Compliance, Malvern, Pa. PBC is one of several organizations that sell various legal posters for the workplace. (Google “GINA compliance posters” for a partial list of providers.)
