Kawasaki recalls 2010 Z1000 motorcycles

Kawasaki is recalling certain 2010 Z1000 models. The potential number of units affected is 1,161.

Under severe riding conditions, the left front brake hose may contact the front brake rotor during extremely heavy application of the front brake. This can cause brake fluid to leak.

Dealers will inspect the front brake hose and replace it if required. In addition, the front brake hose position will be adjusted to prevent contact with the brake rotor. The recall is expected to begin this month. The NHTSA campaign ID number is 10V303000.
